Halloween Snack Board

If you have been around here any amount of time, you know I love a good excuse to run with ANY themed party. For this week’s cooking show, we will not be cooking a lot at all, but instead, we’ll be putting together a FUN Halloween snack board. The idea behind this snack board is the fact that our kids will probably be eating their weight in candy already, SO, let’s create a snack board with fruits, veggies, and some protein too.

You can have all the creativity you want here! Pick your kids faves, and go to town. Here’s what I put on my board.

-Mummy hot dogs (I used turkey franks and a package of crescent rolls. Cut long strips of the dough, wrap loosely around the hot dog, and then bake in the oven until golden brown.) Use candy eyeballs to make things extra fun.
-Apple slices (can include peanut butter for dipping!)
-Carrots (include a favorite dip too!)
-Bananas (I used an icing pen to draw a cute ghost face on these.)
-Mandarin oranges (again, add some eyeballs for a fun addition.)
-Chocolate covered pretzels (I know I said we are sticking to non sugar stuff for this board, but these are just tasty and fun. You could do regular pretzels also. I love Glutino GF pretzels – due to my allergy, and the kids don’t even notice the difference.)
-Popcorn (regular or cheddar for a fun orange color.)
-Candy corn for decoration, because who actually eats candy corn? Haha.

What would you add to your board? I would love to hear in the comments! Letting your kids be a part of assembling the board is a fun way to spend some quality time in the kitchen together. If you are a perfectionist like me, I know it’s hard to sit back and let them DIY it. 😅 But I promise, it’s so worth it. My littlest was giggling the entire time, and we had so much fun with this little project.
