Lavender Lemonade Recipe

Spring is in FULL bloom around here, and I could not love it more. We had an unexpected weekend at home, with a last minute cancellation of my son’s baseball tournament. It was a glorious 2 days at home with nothing on the agenda. We got some chores done outside in the backyard, the kid’s and I did some baking, and I created a new Lavender Lemonade recipe to share with ALL of you! I was inspired to try and make my own after a visit to the Magnolia Table food truck last weekend. This lemonade is light, refreshing, and no, doesn’t taste like you’re drinking a bar of soap. 😅 I’ll share the recipe here first, a few photos from our weekend, and finally, the weekly dinner plan to wrap up this post!

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp dried lavender (culinary grade)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 6 cups water (divided)
  • 3/4 cup fresh lemon juice (about 7-8 lemons)
  • 6-8 mint leaves (optional)

Instructions

  • First, you want to make your lavender simple syrup. Pour 2 cups boiling water over your sugar and lavender. Stir to combine, then cover and let sit for 1 hour. (Allow more time for a stronger lavender flavor.)
  • Strain lavender syrup into a pitcher, using a fine mesh strainer. Add the lemon juice, and remaining 4 cups of water, and mix well.
  • Garnish with mint leaves, serve over ice, and enjoy!

If you are a visual person, I’ve put together a step by step video you can watch below! The most time consuming part is juicing the lemons. But oh it’s SO worth it to get that fresh juice! You can tweak this recipe to your tasting to fit your preference! Depending on type of lemons used you may need more or less to get the juice amount listed. I used regular lemons for this recipe but can’t wait to get my hands on some fresh Meyer lemons for a sweet twist. Here are the links to all of the items I used!
