I Love Fall Most Of All: Home Decor Tour
Happy first day of fall y’all! Here in Texas we like to say IT’S FALL Y’ALL! With as much southern drawl as you can imagine. Over the weekend I pulled out my fall storage boxes & decorated the house for one of my favorite seasons. Take a Fall Home Decor Tour with me through my house as I share some inspo & how I decorated this year.
I have shared before in this post — just why I love fall so much, especially in this house. September marks 2 years in our home, and moving into this home during the fall season is my favorite memory of our new house.
Last year’s decor was a little untraditional. I veered away from your typical oranges & browns for some burgundy & blues. You can view last year’s theme here. I loved it so much, but this year as I was browsing Hobby Lobby & Target — I knew I need to bring in the oranges again. Nothing screams fall like a bright orange pumpkin.
So let’s take a walk through the house and discuss some of the decor!
Our first “fall purchase” this year was a few pumpkins from Trader Joe’s. Cheyenne and I went by for a few groceries one day, and they have some very affordable pumpkins! I set a large one on my bar & a few small ones on the kitchen table & front porch.
Next up was a few decorations from the Target “dollar spot”. I still call it the dollar spot, even though you don’t really find anything for a dollar anymore. (Haha) I found a candle, a string of pumpkin lights, a frame, a pumpkin, and a cute sign. I mixed in this decor with some decorations I already had on our mantle. Pulled out some floral picks that have been passed down from my mom, probably from Hobby Lobby, and boom! Mantle is complete! I am a very budget concious person, so the more taht I can repurpose or reuse in other places, I do.
A trip to Hobby Lobby is ALWAYS necessary when it comes to decor. You just can’t beat their selection, and their sale prices! I picked up a pack of plaid pumpkins, a grapevine wreath with some floral picks to decorate my front door, a beaded edge wooden cake stand to set up my diffuser on, a fall sign, a pillow cover, and a kitchen drying mat.
To add to my front porch, I found some pretty mums & planting pots at HEB. I also found a couple more pumpkins to add to my Trader Joe’s ones.
My front entry way transformation was ALL from repurposed decorations. The tiered stand & pumpkin sign is originally from Hobby Lobby, and the florals were another hand me down from Mom. 🙂
Last but not least is the kid’s bathroom, which is made possible by a Target run. (Yes, another one!) I found the hand towels ,(Wyatt especially loves the fox towel), candle, and shower curtain from there. In all honesty, it is feeling like it may be lacking a little bit in there. I think I need to add a rug and a few pictures on the wall to complete the look. Stay tuned for that, because I will most likely edit to add these things. 🙂
I created a fun video of some of my decorating transformations that you can see on my Instagram. I love decorating for fall, I do not like clutter, but I do like the warmth & coziness that strategically placed decorations bring to a home. What about you? What is your decorating style? I would love to see your homes! If I have inspired you with any of my choices, I would love to see yours set up! Tag me on social.
Happy Fall Y’all!
