You Can Achieve Anything!

I came across an image on my facebook feed earlier that stopped me in my tracks, and it’s been mulling around in my brain all day.

This. Right. Here. is the EXACT reason why I do what I do. The Younique company, the blogging, the posting on social media… It has been my passion for many years to uplift and encourage others with my writing. I’ve let it get sidetracked for quite some time, I fire back up and write, and then something derails me again.

Recently, within the past 3 years that I have been with Younique, I feel like I’ve settled in right where I am meant to be. I joined Younique with the sole purpose of getting a discount on my own makeup. (Hello saving/coupon queen.) I never had any intentions of selling, I even told my sponsor “I JUST WANT THE MAKEUP”. She encouraged me to join some of the presenter groups and promised me that it would be a safe place to ask questions, bounce ideas, and learn some tips on the makeup. Something caught on to me the more that I watched the other Younique presenters. They were having fun. They were encouraging each other. (Something I had never seen in any other company full of WOMEN). They were making extra money for their families. Something inside me wanted to give it a try.

It still terrifies me to talk one on one with someone I don’t know. It terrifies me to be the center of attention in a group setting. I am not naturally outgoing, bold, or confident. But somehow in this company and the 3 years of growing and changing and striving for more of a difference, I have found my voice. I’ve found my confidence in myself and in what I have to bring to the table. The Lord has given me a voice to share and I am going to continue to share it. I strongly believe he uses people, companies, and experiences to shape our paths, and this company has definitely shaped mine.

Last year I got to go to my first Younique convention and I was simply BLOWN AWAY by the energy, and excitement, and LOVE that our founders have for us as presenters, as well as for women all over the world. I told John that very day THIS IS WHERE I AM SUPPOSED TO BE. Everything just clicks. It is more than makeup, it is so SO much more. It’s that quote right up there that I shared at the beginning of the post.

-It’s the mom telling me she earned enough money to pay her car payment this month, and unexpected medical bills.

-It’s the girl who has been struggling to feel comfortable in her own skin, and finally feels happy with it.

-It’s the girl(s) who text me and can’t get over their kick a** lashes. Whoop whoop!

-It’s the girl who tells me she had the confidence to try a makeup look that I posted.

-It’s the girl who comments and says my post is JUST what they needed to see that day.

Those are the things that keep me rolling and doing what I do. (That and the makeup is truly unbeatable. :-D)

If you have ever watched me and thought maybe just maybe you would like to give this thing a shot, don’t overthink it. I’ve already done enough overthinking for the both of us, and I am here to say. It’s beyond what you could ever imagine. 😍
