Crepe Myrtle Love
I am just completely in love and need these baby blooms to be documented and live forever on my blog here. 😍
About a week ago my sister in law called me to tell me about some beautiful crepe myrtle plants at our local H-E-B, for a VERY good price. We went and grabbed some. And well long story short, the first round of plants did not make it. Between the crazy storm we had, and what I suspect to be a leaf cutter ant invasion at our house, they were sad looking little sticks. H-E-B, being the amazing company they are, took back the sad stick trees and we were able to exchange for these beautiful vibrant baby trees. Ah, I can’t wait to watch them grow! We had one in front of our old house that we pruned, and shaped, pruned and shaped. And she’s still a gorgeous little tree. I can’t wait to do the same here.
It got too dark to take a final picture but maybe I’ll snag one tomorrow. 📷
Oh and this beautifully pictured story isn’t perfect. Nope. On the first hole John realized that what we measured for a PERFECT distance off the driveway, was also the exact line of our fiber internet cable. 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ So we are now currently in the dark ages until they can come fix it.
Missed it by THAT much. 😆
I’m praying these plants will make it through the night. Those ants can do a number in one sitting. 😭 We bought some poison that I am hoping will work…Do any of you have tips for dealing with these type of ants? I’d love to hear them in case I need a plan B.
Wyatt James my outdoor lover. He made friends with the ants. Said he especially loved this one carrying the flower. I don’t like the idea of killing them, but I just can’t live with sticks for landscaping either. 😤
Write more, thats all I have to say. Literally, it seems as though you relied on the video to make your point. You clearly know what youre talking about, why throw away your intelligence on just posting videos to your weblog when you could be giving us something informative to read?
Nice read, I just passed this onto a friend who was doing a little research on that. And he just bought me lunch as I found it for him smile So let me rephrase that: Thanks for lunch! “It is impossible to underrate human intelligence–beginning with one’s own.” by Henry Adams.
