Mom & Daughter Hair Day

My Taylor Rachelle is as girly as they come. Which has been SO fun in my world, to share some of the same interests when it comes to beauty and fashion. I love that she always wants to see the latest Younique product that I have received. She brings me hairstyle inspiration from Pinterest. She loves to curl her hair with my L’ange Wand. She {borrows} jewelry out of my closet. And she likes to get her hair done whenever I am going so that she can sit and hang out with me and in the salon. I would think it would be a little boring sitting & waiting for hair color to process, but I am learning that quality time is a big love language for my sweet girl. It doesn’t matter the WHAT, she just wants to BE THERE.

Yesterday I scheduled a hair cut for her and I, and we had the best day. We ate chick-fil-a in the car in the parking lot, did a little clothes shopping at Justice, got our hair done, and finished the day with Starbucks, and Target’s sale on locker decorations.

I am still trying to wrap my head around the fact that I have a baby headed to junior high. She is so thrilled and beyond ready. I am thankful for the relationship we have right now, and I pray that we can stay close even when the road may get tough ahead. I am not naive to think we are not going to have our fair share of teenage drama, but I also know the word of God, and know that we have both the power to speak blessings and curses with our words. I speak BLESSINGS over my child. I pray that she walks with the Lord all of her days. I pray that she seeks approval from her Lord more than she seeks approval from her friends. I pray that she remains a light and a witness to those around her. If you know my Taylor than you have experienced her silliness, her smile, and her genuine care for those around her.

I am a thankful momma.
