Less thinking, more doing…

Hello world! My name is Tina, if you haven’t met me before, you can learn a little about myself in the “About Me” tab in the menu above.  I am excited to bring you my creative baby that has been in the works for the past couple of months.

My goals for this blog are within the tagline. Let’s talk about makeup, let’s talk about monograms, and let’s talk MomLife. Simple right? Well, I have been focusing most of my attention lately to the logos, colors, website design, and technical stuff, and I have actually kind of put off creating this first post. Why am I procrastinating this first published post? Lots of thoughts have gone through my head.

-It’s not quite finished the way that I want it.
-I don’t have all of the content on here that I would like.
-What if I have nothing to write about?
-What if no one reads?

You name it, I’ve thought it. But I went to our Younique convention this weekend and was so HIGHLY encouraged by multiple motivational speakers, that I felt ready to come straight home to my computer. I might not have everything “perfect”, I may not have a massive following on this blog, but if I reach just ONE person today, and help encourage their day, bring a little joy or humor, or bring some confidence their way? Then it is ALL worth it. My dream for this blog is to go hand in hand with Younique’s mission. To uplift, empower, and validate women. Whether you feel uplifted by a humorous story, or you feel empowered to try something new, or whether you feel validated by a story I have shared, if there is one thing I have learned, it is that there is power in community.

I will share the positive. Because most of all, I want to encourage my readers. But you better believe I will also share the hard stuff. Because I know as a mom/wife/daughter/sister/friend/WOMAN, there is no greater feeling than knowing you are not ALONE. You are not the only person dealing with your struggles. So my hope and prayer is that I get to know you, and you get to know me. I hope this blog can impact my community for the good, and that if I touch just one person today, I know I am exactly where I need to be.

Thanks for reading, and I will talk to you soon!

  1. When I initially commented I clicked the “Notify me when new comments are added” checkbox and now each time a comment is added I get three e-mails with the same comment. Is there any way you can remove me from that service? Appreciate it!
