My House After Christmas

So… January is a tricky month in the home decor area, isn’t it ? All of the Christmas decorations come down, and your house feels like an EMPTY shell. I love this time of year to reorganize some items, find new places for the kids gifts, get rid of things that we haven’t used, and also it’s a fun time to spruce up your home decor. I have been staring at my fireplace mantle for weeks. After a few trips to Hobby Lobby (and waiting to time the trips for the sales), I have the fireplace mantle decorated and also my shelf above the tub in the master bath. I am just loving all of it! Check them out. 🙂

Fireplace — Everything on here came from Hobby Lobby! The clock and the little bow picture frame I have had since last year.

I love a little touch of greenery, this party of 5 picture just TOO fun and perfect for our fam, and lanterns… I have an obsession with lanterns! I found the party of 5 picture FIRST, so I made sure to find pieces that had white tones to match it. I also went with white, rather than off white, since our mantle is beige. I wanted the items to really stand out.

I love the mixture of galvanized metal and wood! The candle is a battery operated LED. Perfect for the soft glow, without the mess of an actual candle.

Moving on to our master bathroom! The shelf was built by my talented hubby. We actually brought it from our old house, it used to be our fireplace mantle. John scraped down the entire piece! It fit perfectly in this new spot. Like it was made for it. 🙂

This is another shelf in our house, that I struggled over what to put with it. In came another LANTERN, this was a Christmas gift, along with a few bathroom “essentials”. Bath bombs, bubble bath, and candle. 🙂

Another touch of greenery, YoungLiving Lavender bath bombs, and one of my favorite bath soaks {ever}. Adding items to mason jars or another type of container or basket is a fun and easy way to spruce up your “plain” day to day items.

“Stay Awhile” that is definitely a sign I will listen to while in the bath tub. 🙂

That about wraps up the post Christmas home tour! Thanks for stopping by and reading. <3 I always love to meet new followers — feel free to leave a comment below!
