A follow-up on my health journey! ❤️ I’m so grateful to see some positive changes in my symptoms over the past 3 weeks, thanks to intentional diet and lifestyle choices.
•
@whole30 has been such a powerful tool in helping me eliminate potential inflammation-causing foods, and I’m looking forward to the reintroduction phase to better understand what works best for me.
•
As I mentioned in the video, I’ve also taken a big step in owning my health journey by starting a new phase with @functionhealth. My goal is to monitor my biomarkers on my own terms, with the convenience and affordability the program offers. I’ll be sharing more soon about my first lab visits and results!

Fall is my favorite season to garden, and here’s

Fall is my favorite season to garden, and here’s what’s thriving right now in our Texas fall garden.
•
Counting them up, we have 41 different varieties growing 😱, from cool-weather greens like kale and spinach, to herbs like basil, thyme, and dill, and hearty veggies like broccoli and spaghetti squash. 🙌🏻 My fruit trees – meyer lemon, fig, olive, and lime – are also getting their moment before I have to bring them in for the cold. 🍋
•
Curious what else I’m growing? Here’s the full breakdown:
•
bed 1: eggplant, carrots, swiss chard, radishes, lettuce blend, arugula, kale, beets, celery
•
bed 2: basil, lavender, sage, dill, parsley, oregano, thyme, cilantro, chives, asparagus
•
bed 3: spaghetti squash, bell and jalapeño peppers (plus room for more!)
•
bed 4: zucchini
•
bed 5: broccoli, cabbage, pak choy, turnips, peas
•
bed 6: lima beans, tomatoes, lettuce, spinach
•
bed 7: kale, brussel sprouts, parsnips, artichoke, bunching onions
•
bed 8: open for garlic planting – plus I can plant more carrots, spinach, kale, and beets in this area
•
off-camera: meyer lemon tree, fig tree, olive tree, lime tree, rosemary, mint (all in pots to bring inside when the cold hits).
•

Loved watching both my girls cheering on the sidelines this past week. 💙 Cheyenne adores her big sister @taylor_schoenfeldt and it makes my momma heart so happy to see them out there together. ✨

Today we went back to the ortho to review Wyatt’

Today we went back to the ortho to review Wyatt’s MRI results. Not quite the news we hoped to hear, but we know God is in control no matter what. 🙏🏻 He has a partial ACL tear and a lateral meniscus tear. Plus a lot of bone bruising. They said it looked like someone took a hammer, and just hit his knee with it. 😫
•
His doctor feels hopeful that because he’s young the ACL could heal on its own, so he put him in an ACL brace, and wants him to do light rehab for a couple weeks to give it a chance to heal and calm down.
•
The meniscus will need surgery either way, but we’re going to watch and see how the ACL does over the next couple weeks. In spite of all that’s going on Wyatt has been such a trooper and has handled the pain well. We are thankful for the coaches and trainers who were quick to respond and get him taken care of. And also to everyone who has reached out to check on him and pray for him, thank you!!! 🫶🏻
