Easiest Eye Shadow Ever
Post UPDATED February 1, 2020! These shadows are BACK on sale — and I can’t wait to share some more tutorials with y’all! 🙂
Today I want to talk with y’all about the newest product to hit the Younique makeup line. Our new Moodstruck Liquid Shadows. They are seriously AMAZING! If you are a “no fuss” kind of makeup girl, these shadows are for you. I have seriously been blown away by how easy they are to apply. Read on for the complete product review, plus a few application tips! I have also linked some tutorial videos that I have made so far, and to keep up with ALL the current videos I share, be sure to give me a follow on my Facebook and Instagram pages!
First up, what IS a liquid shadow? And why do I want to try it?
The liquid shadow formula is unique in the fact that you are going to get a smooth gliding process of application, with a rich color payoff. The applicator included is called a “doe foot” applicator. If you haven’t heard of this type of applicator (like me before trying these) it is shaped in such a way that you can get into each area of your eye with ease, plus it has a tiny little reservoir in the center, which will ensure perfect product amount each time you use it. They glide on easily, will not crease, and blend perfectly with other additional shadow types & colors. Plus, BONUS tip — they double as lip colors!!
How many color options are there?
There are 8 colors to choose from currently.
Giggly – a matte pale pink.
Businesslike – a matte mauve.
Willed – a matte plum brown.
Overt – a matte rich brown.
Ornate – olive brown satin with golden pearl finish.
Egotistical – raspberry satin with pink pearl finish.
Reverent – champagne satin.
Exalted – coral satin with golden pearl finish.
Application Tips
I’ve tried these shadows out in multiple scenarios so that I can find the best tips to share with you!
-Use the included applicator to swipe over your lid. (You can apply as little or as much above your crease as well.)
-Make sure to wipe off any excess before applying, all of the product you need is in the doe foot reservoir.
-Take your fingertip, or a dense eyeshadow brush and softly blend the edges of your color. This creates a flawless, blended look.
-Layer additional colors as you wish in the inner or outer corner of your eyes, or on top of the lid. Layering one color on top of the other will also create a new totally custom look. (This is where I have the most fun with my eyeshadow looks!)
What do they cost?
Price point currently for each liquid shadow is $26 USD. However, for the month of FEBRUARY you can get them on sale in our Kudos bundle — the bundle includes 2 liquid shadows of your choice, a blush of your choice, a lippy of your choice PLUS an option to bundle a foundation of your choice with it. Savings of up to 25% off!

For this last photo I did not take a video. I simply applied ONE color, all over the lid. And then softly softened up the edge lines with a brush. That’s IT!
